About Us

Learn more about Tally Ho Construction.

Tally Ho Construction was
founded in 1995 by John Parrington and his son Rob.

The company then became incorporated in 2001. In 2004, Jeff Parrington joined the team which created a true father and sons operation. Since Jeff’s addition, Tally Ho has evolved from a small two person crew focused on building small and large scaled metal buildings to a major operation with 25 employees. Their clients span throughout Western Colorado and focus on a variety of services including sentinel steel buildings, civil and concrete construction, demolition and reclamation work.

The phrase “Tally Ho” originates from a popular saying that Grandpa Parrington would hear from British fighter pilots during his time in the Royal Air Force. Therefore the family adopted the phrase when naming the Tally Ho Ranch in Winter Park, CO and Tally Ho Construction on the Western Slope.

John and Rob Parrington started building houses in 1995 and shifted the business to producing commercial metal buildings in 1998.  Then in 2004, Jeff Parrington joined Tally Ho and the crew operated as a 3-person family construction team. Following in the mid 2000’s, Tally Ho was producing 1-2 buildings per year. Furthermore, in 2008, the business grew exponentially due to the oil and gas boom throughout the Western Slope. Tally Ho then added civil construction, earthworks services, concrete construction, reclamation work and demolition services to their capabilities.

Tally Ho has grown so much in the past decade. This growth has led them to becoming subcontractors for companies like FCI, Asset, PNCI, Westec Construction, and Haselden.  Services performed in larger subcontractor work includes earthwork, concrete and metal building production. In 2018, John stepped down as President of Tally Ho and handed the reigns to his son’ Jeff and Rob.
